By using our website, submitting a quote request, scheduling service, or accepting any service from us, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.

2. About Auto Glass of San Jose

Auto Glass of San Jose is a licensed auto glass repair and replacement shop in California. We hold a current California contractor's license and carry the insurance required to do this work. Our main location is:

3. Services

Here's the work we do across San Jose and the rest of Santa Clara County:

• Windshield replacement (OEM, OEE, and aftermarket glass options)
• Windshield repair
• Side and rear window replacement
• Sunroof and moonroof replacement
• ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) camera recalibration
• Commercial and fleet auto glass services

Availability can shift by location. We reserve the right to turn down a job, including when something about the vehicle's condition would make a safe install impossible.

4. Subcontractors

We sometimes bring in licensed and insured subcontractors to handle a job. When we do:

• All subcontractors are vetted, licensed, and insured to perform auto glass work in California
• All work is performed to the same quality and safety standards we apply to our own technicians
• Our workmanship warranty (Section 5) applies equally to work performed by subcontractors
• Auto Glass of San Jose remains your primary point of contact for all service inquiries, warranty claims, and complaints regardless of whether a subcontractor performed the work

You acknowledge and agree that the use of subcontractors does not diminish your warranty rights or our responsibility for the quality of work performed.

5. Workmanship Warranty

How to Make a Warranty Claim

To submit a warranty claim:

1. Notify us within 30 days of discovering the defect by calling (408) 831-7173 or emailing [email protected]
2. Provide your original service receipt or job number
3. We will inspect the vehicle at no charge to assess the warranty claim
4. If the defect is covered, we will remedy the issue at no cost to you

We are not responsible for any damage that results from a delay of more than 30 days in notifying us of a defect.

Glass Warranty

Our workmanship warranty covers installation quality only. The glass itself is covered solely by the manufacturer's warranty, which varies by glass brand. We will assist you in pursuing a manufacturer warranty claim if a glass defect is identified, but we are not responsible for defects in the glass material itself.

ADAS Calibration Warranty

When we perform ADAS calibration, our work is warranted for 30 days after the calibration date, or until the next calibration event, whichever comes first. A calibration event includes any vehicle collision, subsequent windshield replacement, camera removal, or vehicle realignment.

If warning lights related to our calibration return within 30 days of our service, we will perform a re-calibration at no charge, subject to inspection confirming no new calibration event has occurred.

6. Exclusions & Limitations

Our workmanship warranty does not cover:

• New chips, cracks, or breakage caused after installation
• Damage resulting from accidents, vandalism, or road debris
• Pre-existing rust, corrosion, or body damage discovered during installation
• Damage caused by improper use, modifications, or unauthorized repairs
• Normal wear and tear
• Damage caused by extreme weather events
• Any damage to vehicle components not directly related to our glass installation

IN NO EVENT SHALL AUTO GLASS OF SAN JOSE BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ASSOCIATED WITH THE REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF YOUR GLASS, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF USE OF YOUR VEHICLE, LOST WAGES, OR RENTAL COSTS.

7. ADAS Calibration

If your vehicle is equipped with a windshield-mounted camera for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), recalibration may be required after windshield replacement. By proceeding with a windshield replacement on an ADAS-equipped vehicle without requesting calibration, you acknowledge and accept the following:

• Your vehicle manufacturer may require recalibration after any windshield replacement
• ADAS features including lane keeping assist, collision warning, and adaptive cruise control may not function correctly without calibration
• Auto Glass of San Jose is not responsible for ADAS system failures on non-calibrated vehicles where calibration was offered and declined
• You remain responsible for the safe operation of your vehicle at all times, regardless of ADAS system status

We will always inform you whether your vehicle requires calibration and provide you with both calibrated and non-calibrated pricing options. The choice is yours.

8. Insurance Claims

We'll help you file an auto glass claim with your insurer. When you ask us to handle the claim, you're giving us permission to:

• Contact your insurance carrier on your behalf
• Submit claim documentation, invoices, and photos required for claim processing
• Receive payment directly from your insurance carrier for covered services

You are responsible for any applicable deductible and for any services not covered by your policy. We make no guarantee that your insurance claim will be approved. Insurance coverage determinations are made solely by your insurer.

You represent that all information you provide in connection with an insurance claim is true and accurate. Providing false information for the purpose of obtaining insurance benefits is insurance fraud under California law.

9. Pricing & Payment

Quotes are estimates based on what you tell us up front. The final price can change once we see the vehicle in person and know exactly what glass is needed and what shape the surrounding parts are in.

Payment's due when the job's done unless we've agreed to something else ahead of time. We take all major credit and debit cards, plus cash. If insurance is covering it, the money goes through your carrier.

Quoted prices are valid for 30 days from the date of the quote. Prices are subject to change without notice.

10. SMS / Text Messaging Program

When you give us your mobile number and ask for service, you're agreeing to texts from us about that service. Things like appointment confirmations, when the tech is on the way, and updates as the job goes.

Message frequency varies based on your service activity. You may receive up to 4 messages per service appointment (confirmation, reminder, technician en route, completion).

To stop receiving SMS messages, reply STOP to any text message from us. You will receive a confirmation and no further messages will be sent. Opting out of SMS does not affect your service or warranty rights.

If we are unable to resolve your dispute informally, you and we agree to submit the dispute to binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) in Santa Clara County, California, under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. The arbitrator's decision will be final and binding.

Class Action Waiver: You and Auto Glass of San Jose each agree to resolve disputes only on an individual basis and not as part of any class, collective, or representative proceeding.

Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction for matters involving intellectual property or emergency situations.

We can update these terms whenever we need to. When we make a meaningful change, we update the "Last Updated" date at the top. If you keep using the site or our services after a change, that counts as accepting the new version.

Worth checking back from time to time.
